⚡ Build a Daily Newsletter with Zapier

Dappier’s Real-Time Data model allows you to fetch the latest updates on news, weather, sports, and lifestyle topics. With Zapier, you can automate this process and send a daily newsletter to your recipients via email.

This guide walks you through creating a Zap that:

• Fetches real-time data
• Retrieves sports highlights
• Gets lifestyle updates
• Sends an automated email newsletter

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:

• A Zapier account
• A Dappier API Key (Generate it from Dappier Platform under Settings > Profile > API Keys)
• An email service (Gmail, Outlook, or any Zapier-supported provider)

Step 1: Create a New Zap

1. Log in to Zapier and click Create a Zap.
2. Select a Trigger:
   • Search for “Schedule by Zapier” and set it to run daily.
3. Click Continue, then Test Trigger to confirm.

Step 2: Fetch Real-Time Data

1. Click the ”+” icon to add an action.
2. Search for Dappier and select it.
3. Choose the action “Get Real-Time Data.”
4. Configure the fields:
   • Query: "Today's weather and top events"
5. Click Continue, then Test the Step to fetch real-time data.

Step 3: Fetch Sports News

1. Click the ”+” icon to add another action.
2. Search for Dappier and select it.
3. Choose “Get Sports News.”
4. Configure the fields:
   • Query: "Today's sports highlights"
5. Click Continue, then Test the Step to retrieve sports news.

Step 4: Fetch Lifestyle News

1. Click the ”+” icon to add another action.
2. Search for Dappier and select it.
3. Choose “Get Lifestyle News.”
4. Configure the fields:
   • Query: "Trending lifestyle articles"
5. Click Continue, then Test the Step to fetch lifestyle news.

Step 5: Configure Email Delivery

1. Click the ”+” icon to add the final action.

2. Search for Gmail (or another preferred email service).

3. Choose “Send Email.”

4. Configure the fields:

   • Recipient: Enter the recipient’s email address.

   • Subject: "Today's Newsletter"

   • Body:

     Hello,
     
     Here’s your daily newsletter:
     
     - Weather & Events: {{Real-Time Data Output}}
     - Sports Highlights: {{Sports News Output}}
     - Lifestyle Articles: {{Lifestyle News Output}}
     
     Have a great day!
     

5. Click Continue, then Test the Step to ensure the email is sent successfully.

Step 6: Finalizing the Zap

1. Click Publish Zap to activate your automated newsletter.
2. The Zap will now run daily at the scheduled time and send a newsletter with real-time data, sports highlights, and lifestyle articles.
