Dappier’s Custom AI Agent allows you to fetch real-time news from RSS feeds, process user queries dynamically, and automate responses using Zapier. This guide walks you through creating a Zap that:
  • Runs on a scheduled basis.
  • Pulls real-time AI tech news from an RSS feed.
  • Uses Dappier’s AI via the “Send Prompt” action to extract insights.
  • Sends the response via email.

Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure you have:
  • A Zapier account
  • A Dappier API Key (Generate it from Dappier Platform under Settings > Profile > API Keys)
  • An email service (Gmail, Outlook, or any Zapier-supported provider)

Step 1: Set Up a Custom AI Agent in Dappier

Before integrating with Zapier, you need to set up your Custom AI Agent on Dappier. Follow these steps:

1. Create a New AI Agent

  1. Log in to Dappier and navigate to My AI Agents.
  2. Click Create New AI Agent.
  3. Provide a name and description.

2. Sync RSS Feed Data

  1. Under Sync Your Content, add your RSS feed:
    • Example: https://abcnews.go.com/abcnews/usheadlines
  2. Click Add and wait for processing to complete.

3. Monetize or Publish AI Agent (Optional)

  1. Go to the Monetize in Marketplace tab.
  2. Set up the agent for public queries or private use.

4. Get the Model ID

  1. Navigate to Custom APIs and copy the Model ID.
  2. You will need this ID to configure Zapier.

Step 2: Create a New Zap in Zapier

  1. Log in to Zapier and click Create a Zap.
  2. Select a Trigger:
    • Search for “Schedule by Zapier”.
    • Set the schedule to daily or any preferred frequency.
  3. Click Continue, then Test Trigger.

Step 3: Process AI Tech News Queries Using the AI Agent

  1. Click the ”+” icon to add an action.
  2. Search for Dappier and select it.
  3. Choose “Send Prompt” (which requires a Model ID).
  4. Configure the fields:
    • Agent: Select Custom AI Agent.
    • Prompt: 
      summarize the latest AI tech news and trends.
    • Model ID: Paste the Model ID from Step 1.
  5. Click Continue, then Test the Step to verify the AI-generated response.

Step 4: Send AI Tech News via Email

  1. Click the ”+” icon to add an action.
  2. Search for Gmail (or another email provider).
  3. Choose “Send Email.”
  4. Configure the fields:
    • Recipient: {{User Email}}
    • Subject: "Your AI Tech News Update"
    • Body: 
      Hello,

Here’s your latest AI technology update based on recent news and trends:

- Headline: {{results[]title}}
- Summary: {{results[]summary}}

  5. Click Continue, then Test the Step.

Final Step: Publish Your Zap

  1. Click Publish Zap to enable automated AI tech news updates using a Custom AI Agent.
  2. Your Zap will now run daily and send AI-generated summaries straight to users’ inboxes!
